General Guidlines:

Contingency Cases: Generally collection cases once evaluated are handled on contingency bases. This means that client doesn't pay attorneys fee until the amount of debt is collected. The attorney fee rate is generally 33% of collection amount.

Hourly Cases: If client chooses to hire the attorney to proceed based on hourly rate, retainer amount is required and hourly rate is generally between $195 to $250 an hour.

How to collect:

If a loan is in default, the collection process is started by sending some type of default notice to the debtor. In some cases a formal demand is required before a law suit can be filed. If your demand letter is not answered within specified time period as indicated in your notice, then you can file a law suit with court system.
